The new InfoAsset Planner version 2021.1. can be found in our website at [www.innovyze.com](http://www.innovyze.com/) under Support>Product downloads. This version will not be compatible with Innovyze's legacy licensing system. It is the first InfoAsset Planner version that includes the new Thales license which can be requested by clients at anytime throughout their maintenance period. Before requesting a Thales license please read and understand the information provided in this section as many IT requirements will change and it may affect other users in your organization. 

# Thales software license 

To learn more about the Innovyze licensing changes please read section: [FAQ Innovyze Licensing changes](https://help-innovyze.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/infoassetmanager/pages/15532082). This section will provide general information on the new Thales license to help users plan the license migration strategy for InfoAsset Planner and other Innovyze products at their organization. To request an InfoAsset Planner Thales license please go to [www.innovyze.com](http://www.innovyze.com/) under Support>Product downloads. Keep in mind only primary contacts at the organization can and should request the new license. If you are not sure who the primary contact is please contact Innovyze Support by emailing [support@innovyze.com](mailto:support@innovyze.com) or calling 626-568-6869.

# Installation instructions

To install the InfoAsset Planner 2021.1 Thales version any current InfoAsset Planner installations <u>must </u><u><span style="color: #003366">be uninstalled from the computer</span></u><span style="color: #003366">.</span> This version is only available as a Setup executable (no Update or Upgrade installer available). To install InfoAsset Planner for a single user or on a network, perform the following procedure:

- Turn on the computer and start Windows. Close any other applications that are currently running.
- Run the installation executable from the link provided in the Thales license delivery email (delivered to primary contact at the organization).
- Follow the on-screen instructions for system specific information.
- After completing the installation the InfoAsset Planner software will be installed in addition to the Innovyze License Administrator (ILA) in which the entitlement will be applied (fixed licenses only). For floating licenses the ILA will need to be installed on the license server.

# Selecting a License to use with the software

<span style="color: #5f6062">Follow these instructions after the entitlement has been applied in the Innovyze License Administrator (ILA) on the license server or client machine. </span>

<span style="color: #5f6062">To select a new software license in InfoAsset Planner: </span>

1. Go to the InfoAsset Planner dropdown menu. Click on Help>License Management.

2. The Innovyze License Management window will appear:

<span style="color: #5f6062">3. Choose one of the following two options for your default InfoAsset Planner license location:</span>

<span style="color: #5f6062">4. Under Feature Level the available licenses will be listed. The user can check out the license available for the corresponding tier. <span style="color: #5f6062">5. Click </span>**<span style="color: #5f6062">Apply</span>**<span style="color: #5f6062">. The Success dialog box should pop up stating that you have successfully installed your software license.</span>

<span style="color: #5f6062">6. Click </span>**<span style="color: #5f6062">Cancel</span>**<span style="color: #5f6062"> or close your InfoAsset Planner License client to </span><span style="color: #5f6062">view the details of your newly applied software license in the License tab.</span>
